Since September 2013, Patrick Ky has been the Director of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). His mission is to further consolidate the role and responsibilities of the Agency to become a worldwide reference in aviation. Prior to his appointment as EASA Director, Patrick Ky was Executive Director of SESAR, the technological pillar of Europe’s Single European Sky (SES) initiative (2007-2013). He also held different managerial positions in the French Civil Aviation Authority, in a consulting company, and in Eurocontrol. He combines degrees in economics and engineering, as well as 24 years of working experience in civil aviation.
