Eric Trappier has been Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation since 2013 and President of the ASD Defence since May 2017. After his military service in the French Navy as an officer, Eric Trappier joined Dassault Aviation in 1984 as a system engineer at the design office. Dassault Aviation is a French aerospace company with proven dual expertise as a designer and manufacturer of both military aircraft and business jets. In 1986, he was assigned to the NATO Interoperability Group. He became Vice-President, military aircraft sales, for the Middle East and Africa in 2000, and took over the worldwide military exports position a year later. Eric Trappier is also Chaiman of the French Aerospace Industries Association (GIFAS) and a member of the Circle of the Industry Association.
